Eric Hallquist is an internationally experienced Landscape Architect with projects on four different continents. While studying Landscape Architecture at Colorado State University, Eric specialised in urban design and ecology. The combination of which has formed the foundation to his theoretical approach to designing the built environment.
Eric has gained experience while developing a diverse portfolio working with prestigious practices in the US and UK. Starting with JJR, he worked in the campus planning studio before transferring to help open a new office in San Francisco. At both Hargreaves Associates and SOM, Eric worked on prestigious design projects including the Detroit Riverfront Plaza and the winning entry in the NATO Headquarters Competition. During his five years at John McAslan + Partners, Eric lead the Landscape Architecture and Urban Design studio. The projects varied in type and scale, including the Oxford Street Transit Study, Marble Arch, the historic Stanislavsky Centre in Moscow, and the University of Manchester’s public realm scheme.
Eric is also an amateur photographer whose work focuses on documenting how we interact with and impact upon our cities and living environments.
